Social Media is the current big buzzword in the world of Internet Marketing, and with good reason. It is already such a big part of the Internet culture. It is the online forms of communicating to the masses where people are talking, participating, sharing, networking, and bookmarking online.

Social media consist of some Social media site and these are:

Social bookmarkings – The general idea behind social bookmarks is that rather than saving a bookmark for a web page in a browser, the users instead save bookmarks to a social media sites so that other can see your posted bookmarks and it will be exposed.

Social news – A website where you can submit and share your stories and articles. It’s either in photo, text  or video base. Users usually just post a summary of the article with a link to the full article. Apart from sharing content, social news sites function like news hubs. In social news you can share opinions and allows you to comment on other user’s post.

Social Networking – It is a web based social media sites that interact by adding friends, commenting on profiles and having discussion. An example of social networking sites is facebook, twitter, twitter. Social networking sites allows user to share content, interact and develop communities base on their similar interest.

Social Photo and video sharing – allows user to share their photos and videos and commenting on other user submission.
